Creator Revenue Sharing paid members from a split of advertising revenue. Original Content Rewards ties earnings to qualified impressions on original content instead.^[2] 𝕏 describes the new program as one that rewards creators who bring original ideas, expertise, reporting, creativity and commentary.^[3]

𝕏 says you must meet all of these at the time you apply.^[1]

• Country

  You are based in a country where the program is available. 𝕏 lists them on its page.

• Age

  You are 18 or over.

• Account standing

  Your account is in good standing, with no history of repeatedly breaking the Monetization Guidelines or Terms of Service.

• Account type

  A Personal or Business account. Political and government accounts are not eligible.

• Premium

  An active 𝕏 Premium, Premium+ or Premium Business subscription.

• Impressions

  At least 500,000 Home Timeline impressions from verified users in the last 90 days. Impressions on replies are left out.

• Followers

  At least 500 verified followers.

• Original content

  You actively post original content as 𝕏 defines it.

The impressions bar works out to about 5,600 a day over the 90 days. Type your own numbers into the checker to see how far you are from each part of the bar.

Meeting the bar does not guarantee a place. You submit a short application and 𝕏 tells you the outcome. If you are not approved you may submit one appeal, and if that fails you can reapply after 42 days.^[1]

𝕏 calls the ones that count qualified impressions: unique impressions from Premium users on the Home Timeline, where at least 50% of the post is visible.^[1]

𝕏 leaves out impressions from the same account counted more than once on a post, paid or promoted impressions, artificially generated impressions and fraudulent ones.^[1]

𝕏 defines original content as content you made yourself, written, filmed, designed or produced, that reflects your own voice, perspective or expertise. Commentary counts when it adds your own view: reacting to, analyzing or building on the news is original expression under the program.^[1]

• Copied posts do not count.

  Text, images or videos taken whole from other creators or sources, including content downloaded from X or another platform and uploaded again.

• Lightly edited copies do not count.

  Changing a word or two, adding a filter, changing the video speed or placing a text overlay does not transform the original.

• Compilations do not count.

  Posts, videos or images that mostly combine content from other creators without adding a substantial new view or framing.

• Reposts from other platforms do not count.

  Content taken from another platform and posted by someone other than the original creator.

Separately, a post is ineligible for payouts when any of these is true.^[1]

• ✕It is copied or substantially reproduced from another creator.
• ✕It was downloaded from X or another platform and uploaded again, unless you wrote it.
• ✕It is inappropriate, sexually explicit or potentially harmful to viewers.
• ✕It is only about monetization coaching, monetization discussion or maximizing payouts.
• ✕It was made or posted by automated means.
• ✕It contains disinformation or misleading content.
• ✕It has a helpful Community Note.
• ✕It breaks the Community Guidelines, the Terms of Service or the Copyright Policy.

Once you are in, you must stay on Premium, keep posting original and authentic content, and avoid bots, tampering and repeated requests for likes, replies, bookmarks, follows or reposts.^[1]

• In the U.S. the money arrives through X Money.

  You need an active X Money account to reach your payouts, and one X Money account connects to only one X account.

• Outside the U.S. it arrives through a Stripe payout account.

  You connect the account and complete identity verification with Stripe in Creator Studio.

The Help Center page prints no rate per impression, so no earnings figure can be worked out from it, and none is quoted here. 𝕏 also says it may change or cancel the program at any time.^[1]
